Welcome to the world of simplified metal fabrication! Markforged Ceramic Support is the “magic” ingredient of the Metal X ecosystem. This filament is strategically deposited by the printer’s second nozzle only at the points of contact between the final part and the support structures.

What makes it unique? Unlike metal powders, which fuse together during the firing process (sintering), this thin ceramic layer acts as a thermal and physical barrier. As a result, once the part is removed from the furnace, the supports are no longer fused to the part and can be removed with a simple press of the hand or using a small tool.
